Attendance Overview

Students are considered present if they are actively engaged in their courses. “Actively engaged in a course” is defined by the following:

1. Completing GACA and course assigned assessments by the due date

2. Completion of assigned tasks that teachers have designated as critical to the course which may include interventions, assessments, and LiveLesson attendance

3. Participation in academic programs or interventions are also deemed critical course tasks.

4. Submitting Pearson Online Classroom assigned lessons daily

Successful completion of these tasks indicates that a student was present for the week.

Required weekly attendance hours are determined by grade level.

Required weekly attendance hours must be met within seven (7) days after the start of a new week (Sunday-Saturday) for  the student to be considered in good standing. The required weekly hours are as follows:

K - 2nd grade: 23 hours per week

3rd - 5th grade: 25 hours per week

6th grade - 12th grade: 28 hours per week
