STUDENT SUPPORT PLANS

Truancy is defined as any child who during the school year has more than five (5) days of unexcused absences and/or twenty-five (25) or more overdue lessons. Truancy is a serious offense that requires corrective action by the School and the Caretaker.

Any student who has reached truant status will be required to attend a compliance meeting with their Caretaker and will be issued a mandatory attendance and participation contract which must be followed to avoid withdrawal. Failure to adhere to the mandatory Attendance Contract will result in withdrawal from GACA.

Students who have not completed a lesson within Pearson Online Classroom for ten (10) consecutive days will be automatically withdrawn from the School. It is the responsibility of the Caretaker to inform the Director of Compliance of circumstances that would contribute to this level of absence/noncompliance.

Seriously Non Compliant (SNC) - A Seriously Non-Compliant student is defined as a student who has not completed a lesson inside the Pearson Online Classroom for 10 consecutive school days (not including weekends and school holidays) and eligible for administrative withdrawal. This determination is based on student data gathered once weekly.

If the caretaker does not visit Compliance Office Hours within the designated time frame, the student is eligible for administrative withdrawal.

No-Show Status - A No-Show student is defined as a student that has never completed a lesson inside the Pearson Online Classroom after 10 or more consecutive days of school, thus being a no show for the semester and eligible for administrative withdrawal. No Show students only exist during the enrollment season.

If the student does not begin working in the Pearson Online Classroom (POC) within 48 hours of receiving communication from the Director of Compliance, the student is eligible for administrative withdrawal.
